2) What we collect and why (lawful basis)
- Purchases & payments (Stripe): We collect your email and order details to process your purchase and send receipts/updates. Card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Lawful basis: contract (perform our agreement with you) and legal obligation (tax/accounting).
- Transactional emails (Brevo): We use your email to send purchase confirmations and service updates. Lawful basis: contract / legitimate interests.
- Newsletter: If you opt in, we store your email to send newsletters. Lawful basis: consent (you can withdraw any time).
- Analytics & experience: We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps/session insights) to understand how people use our site and improve it. These are non-essential and only load after consent via our cookie banner. Lawful basis: consent.
- Security & fraud prevention: Signals from our payment provider may be used to protect our services. Lawful basis: legitimate interests / contract.
3) Where your data comes from
From you directly (checkout, newsletter form) and, if you consent, via cookies/SDKs for analytics/experience.
4) Who we share data with (processors)
- Stripe – payments and fraud prevention.
- Brevo – email delivery/CRM for transactional and newsletter emails.
- Google Analytics – usage analytics (consent-based).
- Microsoft Clarity – heatmaps/session insights (consent-based).
We have appropriate data-processing terms in place with our providers. Some processing may occur outside the UK/EEA with safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

6) Retention
- Purchases & financial records: kept as required by law (typically up to 6 years for UK tax/accounting).
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or we remove inactive contacts.
- Analytics: we aim to keep user-level analytics data no longer than is necessary (e.g., up to 14 months in GA4 settings).
7) Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and port your data. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise your rights, email info@innerscenehq.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (e.g., the UK ICO).

Note: This page describes our current use of Stripe, Brevo, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. If our stack changes, we’ll update this policy.
